At the end of April 2017 we had a flood that has devastated much of the Ozarks. Everyone is scrambling to repair and replace homes, vehicles, belongings, businesses, etc. We haven’t had a flood like that in over 100 years and some towns are rebuilding from nothing while others only had minor impact. For many, the month of May 2017 will not long be forgotten. We shall remember the love and support shown by fellow town-folk and loyal patrons, morn the loss some have experienced, and most of all, we shall respect the power of nature.
Since Arrowhead Campground sits right on the Jacks Fork River in Eminence, MO, we were hit hard. We have spent all of May rebuilding and digging out in preparation for Memorial Day weekend and the summer season. We thank everyone who helped us and supported us near and far.
The river is getting back to normal but when we have a lot of rain the river can be surprisingly and unexpectedly dangerous! We want all of our guests to be safe and informed! If you intend to float, boat, swim, wade, or even fish the Jacks Fork or the Current river you are going to need to know the condition of the river.
The USGS provides up to date information on the Jacks Fork and Current rivers.
